Our Best Answer - What is Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)?

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Public Law 99-498 requires that students make satisfactory and measurable academic progress in order to be eligible for state and federally funded financial assistance. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that students are making progress toward the completion of their educational program of study. Students who do not make academic progress will be placed on a warning status. If improvement is not made in the next semester of attendance, students will become disqualified. Disqualified students may appeal to the Standards of Academic Progress Committee.
