Yes. Entrance Counseling is a mandatory information session which takes place before you receive your first federal student loan that explains your responsibilities and rights as a student borrower.
- From the StudentLoans.gov home page, click on the "Log In" button located in the "Manage My Direct Loans" box. The Log in page will appear.
- Log in into the web site using your FSA ID.
- Select "Complete Counseling" found in the left navigation bar.
- Select "Entrance Counseling" under "Choose Counseling Type."
- Select the school(s) you want to notify of counseling completion.
- Select "Student Type" (Undergraduate).
- Follow the instructions and answer all questions to complete and submit your Entrance Counseling.
